Welcome to Huntly West Medical Centre, your trusted General Practice (GP) service in North Waikato for 30+ years.

Proudly supporting around 3,500 enrolled patients, we are committed to providing comprehensive healthcare to families / whānau, some of whom we have cared for over generations.

Conveniently located next to a pharmacy and Pathlab, just a short distance from State Highway One, our medical centre is dedicated to your health and well-being.

Huntly West staff have served the community for many years and most are locals. We are a whānau of Doctors, Nurses and Admin here to welcome you into our whānau.

We also offer virtual after-hours GP services through our partnership with Practice Plus & ka ora tele care ensuring you have access to care whenever you need it. And for emergency situations we are partnered with Angelsea Clinic.

About Our Doctors

Dr. Peter Harrison

GENERAL PRACTITIONER
VOCATIONALLY REGISTERED
MB ChB, Dip Obst, FRNZCGP
Dr. Harrison brings 42 years of experience as a GP in our Practice. Skilled in performing minor surgeries and fitting IUCDs and Jadelle. Dr Harrison provides expert care to patients and often acute care. Outside of work, Dr Harrison enjoys gardening, fishing, reading, and traveling to visit grandchildren.
Dr. Maldev Keshvara

Dr Keshvara brings 35+ years knowledge and patient-centered approach to the practice ensuring high-quality medical care. Outside of work Dr Keshvara enjoys spending time with family and working in his gardens.

Dr Akin is a GP with over a decade of medical experience, and is known for his warm demeanour and professional expertise. With a commitment to providing comprehensive care. His approachable nature and dedication to patient well-being make him a trusted and valued member of our practice. Dr Akin is committed to providing the highest standard of care to his patients.
Penny Clark

CLINICAL PHARMACIST PRESCRIBER
Reg Pharm NZ Dip Pharm, PGDipClinPharm (dist), PGCertPharmPres, FPSNZ, MCAPA,
Penny brings 14 years of general practice experience, specialising in medication reviews and diabetes care. With a background in hospital, aged care, and urgent community pharmacy, she enjoys helping patients achieve the best health outcomes. Originally from Ohakune, Penny has lived in the Waikato for 40 years.
